At the Tennessee Inaugural Ball for Bill Clinton last week in Washington, Canadian singer Bruce Cockburn apparently got swept away by the spirit of change. "We've got a government in Canada which thinks Ronald Reagan is still king," he said between songs. "We could use some of this change.
After a rendition of "If I Had a Rocket Launcher", his 1984 protest song about U.S involvement in Central America, Cockburn, 47, added: "We never had a revolution to gain independence from Great Britain, and that's been
the bane of our existence ever since."
